Single expedition on the bicycle in the end of the world

Yesterday at 9 am Mr. Krzysztof Skok, student of Gdańsk University set off on his bicycle to China in order to see the start of Polish sportsmen at the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing. He started off in Sopot city on Bohaterów Monte Casino Street and he is going to finish his expedition in Beijing. The inhabitants of Tri-City (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot), his relatives, the President of Sopot Jacek Karnowski and the vice- chairman of Energy of Water Power Station ( Energia Zakładu Elektrowni Wodnych) in Straszyn Maciej Romanow said good bye to Mr. Krzysztof. He will be biking through the countries of: Lithuania, Russia and Mongolia, in turn the route in China will be created in such a way to enable him to sightsee the biggest amount of interesting places and monuments.

In Beijing Mr. Krzysztof is going to spend more or less 5 days due to the Olympic Games. During his stay he wants to see the sights of the city and watch the struggles of Polish sportsmen.
His comeback is planned on the 3rd of September 2008, however the time of passage in different parts of the track may extend.
Most of his expedition will be taken on bicycle. The train is planned on the way back from Vladivostok through Moscow to Kaliningrad and on the stretch Beijing - Vladivostok.
Considering an equipment on which Mr. Krzysztof will travel, it is Giant Freerider 1. 024 as a combination of modern technology and old, tried and true parts of the bicycle.

A leading sponsor of the expedition is SKOK Stewczyk. The expedition will be supported by Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski who promises that: " Ministry of Foreign Affairs will turn eagerly to our outposts in Russia, Lithuania, Mongolia and China with a request to give Mr. Krzysztof every kind of help he needs."
