Works over Baltic Arena has begun
Today the representatives of UEFA are to judge the state of preparation for Euro 2012. Yesterday the excavators and bulldozers pulled into the ground in Letnica (Gdańsk) where previously the city allotments were located. In this place the Baltic Arena is to be created, one of the three stadiums planned for European Championship for national football teams organized by Poland and Ukraine.
Two different stadiums built from scratch are going to be in Warsaw and Wrocław. Till the end of June the terrain is going to be leveld out and ready for further building works. It is not a coincidence that Gdańsk has already started work. Today and tomorrow the representatives of UEFA once again will judge in Warsaw, how polish cities are dealing with preparation for Euro 2012.
In media has appeared information that after this assessment the representatives will make a decission in which cities the European Championship is going to take place. On the waiting list are Cracow and Chorzów. The cities who are to be hosts of the Euro 2012 are Gdańsk, Poznań and Wrocław.
