European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Wroclaw?

Polish government is going to promote Wroclaw candidature for the base of European Institute of Innovation and Technology (Europejskiego Instytutu Innowacji i Technologii). Very soon the government representatives, with this end in view, intend to visit few capitals in European Union. Decision about localization is going to be made this year by all the countries of Community.

The most serious Wroclaw rivals are Wien and Budapest. It is possible that Polish candidature will be supported by Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Denmark. Today, Rafał Dutkiewicz, the president of Wroclaw, was again striving for the base of Institute in European Parliament.

According to his opinion, it will give us a lot of benefits because it will attract foreign companies to Poland. European Institute of Innovation and Technology is to help in science development in European Union. Academic and research centers and the business representatives are going to work there together focusing on practical usage of modern technologies.
