Mediatravel Festival

Mediatravel Festival is going to take place for the fifth time in Łódź. Mediatravel Festival is dedicated to the civilization and audio-visual production. The event is devoted to the authors of movie, photographs, and radio reports from journeys from different parts of the world, as well as to authors of documentaries, dealing with the historical events.

Mediatravel Festival is a meeting devoted to people who are very curious about the world and its problems, people who are not afraid of challenges and of discovering everything what is yet unknown. Mediatravel Festival has began on Tuesday and the same day one could watch the reportage from Tien-Shan Expedition 2007, that is the expedition of Agnes and Mark Janaszkiewicz to Middle Asia.

The authors presented 20 minutes film, which showed their journey through Kazachstan and Tien-Shan mountains. On Wednesday, few documentary, which meet with censorship and were put aside, were presented. Within the confines of yesterdays evening three works were presented: “The Nightshift” by Jacek Kurski, „Upside down” by Viola Kardynal and “ The Gun for Rent, that is, Rafał Gan-Ganowicz’s Private War” („Pistolet do wynajęcia czyli prywatna wojna Rafała Gan-Ganowicza”) by Piotr Zarębski. Festiwal Mediatravel will last till Saturday.
