Poland lost with United States 0:3 (0:2) in friendly football match, played in Cracow. Americans won all the goals after stable fragments of the game.

Match with USA team was the last occasion for Leo Beenhakker to become convinced about the usefulness in the national team of some football players, before the announcement of wide lineup of the national team to the Europe championship. This is the main reason why in basic strength was a place for reserve players Paweł Brożek and Łukasz Piszczek.
