Bollywood in Poland

From April 1^th, till 6^th, in 11 Polish cities first edition of Film Bollywood Festival, which will present cinematography from India, are going to take place.

Projections are going to take place in Multikino cinemas in: Bromberg, Elbląg, Gdansk, Cracow, Poznan, Rybnik, Stettin, Warsaw, Wloclawek, Wroclaw and Zabrze.

In programme: "Guru" (directed by Mani Ratnam), "Yuva" (directed by Mani Ratnam), "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" (directed by Shaad Ali) and "Chak De! India" (directed by Shimit Amin).

"Bollywood" is an unofficial description of film production in India. Name came into being by the combination of two words: Bombaj and Holywood. In film companies in Bombaj originate about one thousand films every year.
