Disqualification because of expressing criticism of Chenese authorities

As Piotr Nurkowski, chairman of Polish Olimpic Commitee (Polskiego Komitetu Olimpijskiego - PKOl) said „athletes, who would like to demonstrate their political convictions during Olympics in Pekin, have to take disqualification into account”.

Such reactions are connected with the events, which took place at the beginning of last week, when in 49^th anniversary of bloody supress of Tibetan uprising against China and the escape of Dalajlama, Buddhists monks organized in Lhasa peacful marchs. In next days they turned into the biggest in 20 years anti-China manifestation. Protests evolved into riots. Police and army intervene. As the newest reports claimes 99 people died in Tybet during riots. Chinese authorities claimes that only 16 people died.
