Polish Year in Israel

From 1th April, till 14 May 2008 retrospective of artistic activity of one of the most outstanding and most famous Polish directors Krzysztof Kieślowski is taking place. The retrospective will inaugurate Polish Year in Israel. More than 30 Krzysztof Kieślowski films are going to be displayed, feature films and documentary.

Polish Year in Israel, which is to begin in Spring 2008 and is continuated in 2009 is a coinitiative of Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Programme of the Polish Year in Israel 2008/2009 is composed of events from different fields, starting with culture, sciece, through tourism and economy. The aim of this project is to bring closer Polish and Israel society, through strengthening cultural, and also economic, scientistic and tourist contacts and initiating long-term cooperation between institutions from these countries.
