Five years in Iraq cost Poland 800 million PLN. At that time only 20 Polish companies received orders for delivery to this country, worth 410 million dollars.

Polish companies were counting on contracts reaching billions dollars. But such transactions did not happened. Poland was one of three countries, next to Great Britain and Australia, who, five years ago, supported American intervention. According to contemporary arrangements only members of the coalition were to rebuild Iraq, for money from American support and incomes from Iraqi petroleum export. Unfortunately it turned out that the most lucrative contracts went to companies from USA. The biggest part from 10 billion dollars, which turned up to American companies, got Halliburton, concern belonged to former vice president of United States Dick Cheney. The British got contracts worth 4,4 billion dollars.
