As British „Daily Mail” informed, high rank military commanders were thinking about the possibility of recruitment of Polish soldiers.
According to the „Daily Mail” recruitment stations are receiving inquiries from Poles interested in joining British professional army. It would require changes in law. According to legally binding regulations, foreigners form European Union can join the army, only if they have lived in United Kingdom for more than 5 years and they have British passport. Citizens from Commonwealth countries make up 10% of soldiers in the army. Poles could serve in the army in separate Polish military units, as it had been during II World War.
