60 years of Polish animation
From 14th March, till 15th the celebration inauguration of 60 years of Polish animation took place in Wrocław.
At 6 p.m., March 14th, in Wroclaw Gallery Entropia the agenda from the series “Culture 2.0” under the banner of “Young Polish Animation” took place. Cartoon projections – the newest Wojtek Wawszczyk’s film, 16 minutes cartoon “Drzazga”, linking modern graphic technology with artistic sophistication so characteristic for Polish school of animation, was shown.
After the film, conversation with Wojtek Wawszczyk and Piotr Dumała was also planned. 15th March, in Wroclawian Feature Film Company (Wytwórnia Filmów Fabularnych) solemn gala opened the celebration of a jubilee. Evening programme was full of music and dancing attractions, including Urszula Dudziak’s concert, Wojtek Wawszczyk’s premiere cartoon "Drzazga" and special oscar film show “Peter and the Wolfs” ("Piotruś i wilki").
The evening is being transmitted by TVP KULTURA. The hosts of the event were Wojciech Kalarus and Marcin Dorociński. Among guests of the gala were the representatives from Polish cartoon field, culture and media, and Wroclawian authorities representatives. Celebration of 60 years of Polish animation took place under honorable patronage of Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bogdan Zdrojewski.
