Former President went through a heart tests in USA, it was to be only a checkup, but it turned out that operation was needed. Today or tomorrow American surgeons from Methodist DeBakey Heart Center in Houston are implanting a pacemaker.
The former President has had problems with heart for many years, the reason being progressive coronary disease. Living under stress as a result of political life can be added to that. That is also the reason why Lech Wałęsa has fainted several times. One and a half year ago he underwent a minor operation in Italy.
