Polish Government Recognize the Independence of Kosowo

    The government was to recognize the independence of Kosowo last week but it deferred the decision - as Prime Minister reported - at President Lech Kaczyński's reques. Secretary to the President Office, Michał Kamiński said that the President stood by his decision that Poland should defer with this matter, but he would respect the government's decision.
    Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that this decision was made with a moderateness but it could not be different.
