New project of National Stadium

Today the design for the National Stadium has been officially presented by Department of Sport. The Stadium is being constructed on the same spot that  Stadium "X-lecia" existed.
The new stadium is going to look like a wicker basket. The facade of the stadium refers to our national colours, resembling a rolling Polish flag.
The stadium desing - the efect of one and a half month of hard work of 40 architects - deals, among others, with the division into zones, quantity of entries and exits, conference halls or bussiness lodges. The stadium will seat 55000 spectators. According to the schedule, hardening of the terrain should begin in September 2008, and finish in March 2009. The whole construction should be finished in Autumn 2011.
