The longest in Poland waterskiing lift
On 5th of July 2008 in Ostróda, the official opening of the longest in Poland waterskiing lifts, professional canoeing track and city beach took place. 800m waterskiing lift, located on a Drwęckie lake in Ostróda, soon is going to be one of the most interesting tourist attraction in this region.

Study Tour through Western Mazury
From 15th till 17th May, 2008, on the Association of Local West-Mazurian Tourist Organization (Stowarzyszenia Zachodniomazurska Lokalna Organizacja Turystyczna) initiative, the Study Tour through western Mazury region took place. Our stay began in Miłomłyn, where on the outskirts of this town a modern Cardiological Medical Rehabilitation Center "Miłomłyn" is located. The Medical Center is a part of a three star hotel.

Battle of Grunwald Inscanization
The climax of Grunwald Days will be an inscanization of Battle of Grunwald fought in 1410, the biggest war in medieval ages. There was built a knights' village like every year where the participants get ready to fight. The workshop will be open in which one may observe blacksmith's, cobbler's, goldsmith's, armourer's work, there will be also beggars and tradeswomen.

Ostroda-Elblag Canal
Ostroda-Elblag Canal, also known as "Elblaski" is a unique water system connecting several western Mazurian lakes with Vistula Bay. Thanks to this canal you can overcome almost 100-meter, naturally occurring in this region, difference in the levels of water with the aid of the system of locks and slipways. The latter are built of rails lifting devices powered mechanical by the water flow. Ostroda-Elblag Canal is technically the most interesting and unique worldwide water route canal.
