Poland as a host of NATO summit meeting

The North Atlantic Council decided that next year’s Ministers of Defence of NATO meeting is going to take place in Poland. According to the opinion of Radoslaw Sikorski, Foreign Minister, this choice means that “during the ten years of our presence in the Alliance we are not any more a so called new member”.

1th May Celebrations

1th May – the holyday of work. May parades in large numbers were taking place in our country. The biggest parade took place in Warsaw. Under the banner of “In the first place - the human, next - the profit” the parade of leftist organizations took place.

The Day of National Flag of the Republic of Poland, which is celebrated on 2th May, is one of the newest holydays. In our country it has an educational character, under this symbol Poles from around the world are uniting.

March of Tolerance walked through Cracow

At midday on saturday took place a March of Tolerance in Cracow. Throughout the course of the march its opponents disturbed many times. Six people were detained.

Government and ecology

Ministry of Environment together with ecologists create a list of areas under protection Nature 2000. It will brings to an end the legal conflict with Brussels and will activate million Euro grants for roads.
