Since border examinations between Poland and Lithuania was canceled, smuggler changed their faces, they even don’t hide goods without excise, and when they are discovered by boarder guard, they just run away.

Cards payment terminals' numbers grow

The number of shops and service points where card payment is posiible is growing rapidly. The fourth quarter of last year saw a dramatic growth of the number of terminals. According to NBP (Polish National Bank) in IV quarter of last year 13,5 thousand of points acquired terminals. It is more than from January to September 2007 and in the whole of 2006.

Inflation in Poland exceed 8%

Experts of Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development presumed that by constant exchange rates and unemployment rate from the end of 2007 on a level of 11,4 %, inflation will be growing very fast and this year it will exceed 5% and the next year it can be oscillate between 4,2-8,4%.

Polish EU deputy wangled Money from European Union

At least one Polish EU deputy is mixed-up in wangling money from European Parliament. EU auditors found put that EU deputies are stealing sizeable part of 140 millions € per year, which is given to them for finance their assistants.

Emmigrants to be exempted from double taxes

This is the end of double taxes for Poles working abroad. The government has prepared a bill, in which it exempts emigrants from the obligation of paying arrears in Poland if they have already paid them in the foreign country.
